January 2016

Hello all!

Here is January Update as to what the Board at the IPTRA is doing on your behalf.

Meet & Greet Saturday, January 16th from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. and again on Tuesday, January 19th from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the lobby of your building.

The purpose of the Meet & Greet is to get a chance to meet members of the Board from your building. It is also an opportunity to join the Association, voice your concerns and ideas, suggest activities and/or volunteer ways to build a vibrant and productive Residents' Association.

Book/DVD/CD/Plant swap: March 12, Lobby of 195 from 1 – 4. A chance for you to exchange some of your books, DVDs, CDs or extra plants. Start propagating plants now so you'll be ready for the exchange. There is a limit of 10 books to be brought to the swap and no dictionaries or encyclopedias please.

Acting Membership Director: Ed Ellis.

The remainder of the board is made up of:

From 195: Gary Waddell (Past President), Ken Holman, Soheil Rastan, Sarah Kirkpatrick-Wahl

From 200: Joe & Joan Pinto, Janet Cohen, Joyce Clarkson, John Leger

Thanks to everyone who came out to the December Residents' Party. We had a wonderful time visiting, singing and eating. When we sang We Wish You A Merry Christmas, the question came up, "What is figgy pudding?" Well, someone on the Board googled it, and in January, Board members from 185 got together and made figgy pudding and brought it to the IPTRA Board meeting this week. It was declared wonderful by the Board and we've convinced them to bake another figgy pudding for the 2016 December Party so you can all try a piece!

Don't Forget: If you haven't already noted it, we have a new website,  www.IPTRA.org  and we are also on facebook at www.facebook.com/groups/IPTRA/   Over the next few months we hope to expand the use of the facebook group to include buy/sell notices, activities or ride-sharing. On our website, we'd like to list anyone who is offering services or has crafts for sale.
